Wings India - 2024 : Aerobatics by Sarang Team
The Sarang Team is the aerobatic demonstration team of the Indian Air Force. "Sarang" meaning "peacock" in Sanskrit, reflects the team’s colourful display and the representation of the national bird of India. The team was formed in 2003 and is known for its highly skilled aerial maneuvers performed using the HAL Dhruv, an advanced light helicopter indigenously developed in India.
HAL Dhruv is a multi-role, multi-mission helicopter designed and produced by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. The team performs a range of complex aerial manoeuvres like formations, loops and synchronized flying showcasing precision flying skills.
Their helicopters are painted in bright colours with a peacock motif prominently displayed on the fuselage. The team serves not just as a symbol of national pride but also showcases the capabilities of the Indian Air Force.
