NASA visit from School, DPSI

My maiden trip to the United States of America, visiting NASA is something that I can never forget..! We landed at New York’s JFK International Airport and started our adventure with a tour of the New York City. We visited the Statue of Liberty, saw the Freedom Tower and spent some time at the 9/11 Memorial.

Next, we travelled to Washington, D.C., where we visited the Smithsonian museum, the White House, the Abraham Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument.

The following day, we journeyed from Washington, D.C., to Niagara Falls. It was an amazing feeling being at the border of USA and Canada.

Afterward, we flew to Cape Canaveral, Florida, near Orlando. Our first stop was NASA's Kennedy Space Centre where we had an incredible experience. We explored the Rocket Garden that was surrounded by rockets from various missions. We then watched an IMAX shuttle launch film which was so immersive that I could almost feel the ground shake as the shuttle lifted off.

Seeing the actual Saturn V rocket up close was awe-inspiring experience; it was HUGE..!

One of the highlights of our visit was getting to experience what it’s like to be an astronaut in weightlessness. It was an awesome experience overall.

After our space adventures, we headed to Universal Studios where I couldn't resist the thrill of the Hulk rollercoaster ride, it was the perfect way to end an unforgettable trip..!
