ISRO Launch of GSLV MkIII, Sriharikota

Sriharikota is around 150kms from Chennai, during their launches, I could see the rocket in the sky from our terrace; very tiny though.

My parents took me and a couple of my friends to ISRO, Sriharikota to watch one of the GSLV MkIII (nickname 'Fat Boy') launched in June'2017. The launch premise Satish Dhawan Space Center is a barrier island off the Bay of Bengal cost located in the Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh that's the most frequently used site for space craft launches in India by ISRO.
