Rescuing a Hedgehog

One fine evening while at Gurgaon, I discovered a small, spiky visitor in our garden, a hedgehog that somehow wandered in. Its spines made it look intimidating and my mom quickly warned me to be cautious, as it could potentially hurt me. Despite its tough exterior, I could tell the hedgehog was frightened, probably disoriented from finding itself in an unfamiliar place surrounded with human beings. Determined to help, I grabbed a cardboard box and carefully guided the hedgehog inside, ensuring I didn't cause it any harm or distress.

Hedgehogs are protected animals and my mom reminded me of the importance of contacting the forest department to handle such situations. We quickly made the call and explained what had happened. To my surprise, they responded swiftly and arrived at our home shortly after. The officers thanked us for reporting the incident and informed us that the hedgehog would be safely returned to its natural habitat.

It was a rewarding experience to know that I had played a part in helping this little creature get back to where it belonged. Seeing the hedgehog up close gave me a newfound respect for the animals that share our environment. The entire experience left me with a sense of responsibility towards wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting animals like this hedgehog.
